Why not have guidance and support?
Self Care wasn’t always a priority, and Cannabis wasn’t even on my radar.
Until I could no longer ignore the chronic pain, exhaustion, depression, anxiety and fatigue in my body, I decided something HAD to change.
I‘ve had a pretty active life, working mostly in Massage Therapy 23+ years and having been a competitive athlete in my early years.
I did well earning many accolades, but there was a price to pay.
With life, injuries, chronic pain, and muscle trauma, I was relying on over-the-counter anti-inflammatories, pain medications, prescription anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and hormone therapy. When I wasn’t on a steroid for inflammation I took 4000mg to 5000mg of OTC anti-inflammatories (acetaminophen) daily Dr. approved.
My Nervous System was in overdrive.
I had used Cannabis recreationally and noticed that it really helped me get restful sleep, reduce pain and feel a little better. The pain wasn’t gone, but I had distance from it, and WOW did that help.
I spent a lot of my time ‘managing’ my pain.... or more appropriately being ’managed’ by my pain. Some days were Ok, other days the pain was too much. All of it was exhausting. If I let tension build for too long I’d get a migraine. I started getting a lot of migraines.
With Cannabis, gentle movement, effective bodywork, essential oils, meditation, Therapy and healthier boundaries I was able to reduce OTC acetaminophen in half, in about 6 months. I started to include micro-dosing CBD into my routine and in another 6 months I wasn’t taking any more OTC acetaminophen. (I haven’t taken acetaminophen since Dec. 2018.
I’ve been researching and learning as much as I can (and continue to) about Cannabis and its MANY benefits.
I spent some time ‘walking through the mud’ learning and figuring out what worked for me. While I was doing that I was always thinking... If I could learn enough and help someone get results with Cannabis in less time and not alone , that would be a wonderful way to give back. As a Cannabis Coach, I am grateful my work can help others avoid mistakes I’ve made along the way and bring research and the latest news about cannabis to the people that want a knowledgable guide to their cannabis use journey.
I’ve enriched my cannabis education with the Cannabis Cheri, Holistic Cannabis Academy, Cannabis Coaching Institute, the Trichome Institute, and Ganja Yoga Training.
There really is SO MUCH information out there, not all of which is clear or accurate. Much of the information about cannabis online or even at dispensaries can be really confusing. Having guidance and support incorporating any new Self Care practice into daily life can be helpful. Especially with a plant that our body has a built in receptor system to receive.
That’s why Conscious Cannabis Coaching is important to me.
Paying attention to intention is an important consideration in EVERYTHING we do.
With or without Cannabis- Self Care really can have a positive impact on our health and wellness. We can engage our Nervous System in a way to regulate and self- correct through mindful self care and proactive goal setting.
If you’ve read this far, Thank you!
I look forward to supporting you on your self care journey, whether you are new to Cannabis, a long time consumer or just curious.
Peace, Love, Cannabis!!!
